STRABAG Rail a.s., eine Tochtergesellschaft des börsenotierten Baukonzerns STRABAG SE, hat von der tschechischen Eisenbahn-Infrastrukturbehörde (Správa železniční dopravní cesty a.s.) den Auftrag zur Modernisierung der 11,3 km langen Bahnstrecke zwischen Soběslav und Doubí erhalten. Die Auftragssumme beträgt CZK 3,86 Mrd. (~ € 150 Mio.). Die Arbeiten werden im September 2019 beginnen und 46 Monate dauern.
Mit dem Ausbau wurde das Konsortium bestehend aus STRABAG Rail a.s., Eurovia CS a.s. und Metrostav a.s beauftragt. Der Anteil der Konsortialführerin STRABAG Rail a.s. beläuft sich auf 53,21 %.
„Es freut uns sehr, dass wir nach dem Bau eines Abschnitts der Autobahn D35 bereits über den zweiten Großauftrag in Tschechien in diesem Jahr berichten zu dürfen“ sagt Thomas Birtel, Vorstandsvorsitzender der STRABAG SE.
Die Bauarbeiten des Streckenabschnitts Soběslav–Doubí umfassen die Fertigstellung der 11,3 km langen zweigleisigen Strecke, den Anschluss des errichteten Abschnitts an die Bahnstation Soběslav und die Errichtung von sieben Brückenobjekten – darunter zwei Estakaden mit einer Gesamtlänge von 1.095 m. Fertiggestellt werden auch der „Zvěrotický”-Tunnel mit einer Länge von 370 m, eine Telekommunikationsanlage sowie Lärmschutzwände mit einer Gesamtlänge von 1,6 km. Die Errichtung neuer Bahnsteige sowie der Abbau der ursprünglichen eingleisigen Strecke ist ebenfalls im Auftrag erhalten.

STRABAG Rail a.s., a subsidiary of the publicly listed construction group STRABAG SE, has been awarded the contract to modernise the 11.3 km railway section between Soběslav and Doubí on behalf of the Czech national railway infrastructure administration SŽDC. The contract value amounts to CZK 3.86 billion (~ € 150 million). Work will begin in September 2019 and will last 46 months.
The contract was awarded to a consortium consisting of STRABAG Rail a.s., EUROVIA CS a.s. and Metrostav a.s. The share attributable to consortium leader STRABAG Rail a.s. amounts to 53.21 %.

The work on the Soběslav–Doubí section comprises the completion of the 11.3 km long double-track line, the connection of the constructed section to the Soběslav railway station and the erection of seven bridge structures – including two viaducts with a total length of 1,095 m. The Zvěrotický Tunnel with a length of 370 m, a telecommunications system and noise barriers with a total length of 1.6 km will also be completed. The construction of new station platforms and the dismantling of the original single-track line also form part of the contract.
